Bottom Line: The KXR 60 is our Gold Medalist in
Silence. Plug in a quiet source, turn up the volume, and you might
not believe the KXR 60 is even on. It serves up good thump for the
buck. To protect its speakers, the KXR 60 incorporates fixed onboard
limiting. While this means you can crank the volume and the amp will
make it hard to overdrive its output, you'll also be limited in how
loud you can get. It might serve as a decent stage monitor.
Its effects can be used to feed the house mixer. Its power cord is
permanently attached but, unlike the more expensive Fender amps, it
has studs to wrap the cord around.
